Oracle8i Internet Database Operator - NT
Duration: 32hrs
Price: $750.00
Training Method: Instructor-led Training
Class Schedule Weekdays, Evenings & Weekends

Description:

This course is a Quickstart introduction to operating an Oracle database on a Windows NT platform. It introduces students to the essential tasks that confront database operators and support personnel who have to quickly set up and operate a production Oracle database in a Windows NT environment. The focus is on the database as opposed to specific operating system tasks. Students gain practical experience installing and operating an Oracle database to support departmental database applications. Using a variety of Oracle tools, students learn to anticipate and solve common problems associated with operating an Oracle database, perform common administration tasks, and set up the Oracle WebDB tool to monitor Web databases and applications.

The class consists of demonstrations and hands-on exercises for performing daily operator tasks. Throughout the course, the instructor demonstrates the tasks an operator would perform on the Oracle database. A strong emphasis is on using the Oracle Enterprise Manager tool. The target audience for this course is support personnel who do not need an in-depth understanding of the underlying Oracle architecture or require detailed database administration training but are often tasked with providing support for departmental Oracle databases that may also support end-user applications.
